Title: Will Steve Jobs' final vendetta haunt Google?
Author: Michael Liedtke
Source: The Miami Herald Newspaper.
The topic of the article is that google stole things from the Iphone to use it for the Android.
The main idea of the article is (implied/stated): The main idea of this article is that Steve Jobs created the Iphone and google stole his features to use it for the Android. This article is stated.
The author’s purpose for writing this article is to show reader’s how Android is a fake and stole the ideas/ materials from the Iphone.
The author’s perspective in this article is objective/subjective (biased) because it is saying the truth and not adding or taking anything away from the article. This article is subjective.
The pattern of organization of the article is compare and contrast because it is comparing the Iphone to the Android, which was really stolen features from the Iphone.
The reason the author chose this pattern for the article is because it knows what is right and what is wrong.
The text features included in the article are:
The picture of Steve Jobs. The picture helps by showing reader’s who Steve Jobs was.
The caption under the picture. The caption helps by telling us detailed information about the picture.
All the dates in the article. The dates help by telling reader’s what time period the events took place at.
This article is about (a summary in your own words): how Steve Jobs, the creator of the Iphone, and all apple projects, made the Iphone design from scratch using his knowledge. Some random person from google decides to steal the features from the Iphone and create a new fake phone called the Android.
The significance (importance) of this article is: that people should think of their own ideas and instead of taking others and making new products, they should atleast ask to borrow some parts of the creation.
What I learned from this article is: Some people make mistakes, but this was no mistake. This was a theft from the creator of Android, which was participated by google.
What I liked about this article is how detailed the author was, about the issue and how he knew everything about what was going on with Steve Jobs, google, and Android creators.
What I did not like about it was the way Android had to steal Steve Jobs features from the Iphone instead of making their own creations.
Who should read this article and why: I think that people who are interesting in technology/electronics, would be very fascinated with this article.
This article reminds me of (text-to-self) because it shows how people steal others ideas and use them to make money.
(text-to-text) : I think this is text-to-text because it tells readers how things are made and stolen in one shot.
(text-to-world): I think this is text-to-world because it is Steve Jobs and Android facing the world on which creation is better and more useful.
New vocabulary I learned:
Word: Context Clues: Definition:
2. Retaliated - to requite or make return for (a wrong or injury) with thelike.
